Description
This hot apple pie wrap recipe is perfect when you're hungry for apple pie but don’t have the time to bake one. It's especially fine with frozen yogurt or ice cream too!
Ingredients
| 2 | medium apples, peeled, cored and cut into ¼” pieces | |
| 1⁄4 | c | water |
| 1 | t | lemon juice |
| 2 | T | brown sugar (or maple syrup or agave syrup) |
| 1⁄2 | t | cinnamon |
| 2 | soft flour tortillas | |
| butter and cinnamon sugar |
Instructions
- Place apples, water, lemon juice, brown sugar and cinnamon in small saucepan and bring to a boil. Lower heat and cover with a lid; simmer 10 minutes. Remove lid to evaporate remaining liquid for 1-2 minutes.
- Meanwhile, brush tortillas with butter and place in a skillet over medium heat. Warm each side and then fill with apples and roll-up. Brush tops with butter and sprinkle with cinnamon sugar for a crisp, pie crust crunch. Slice into thirds and serve.
