Easy Rice & Grain Recipe Ideas
Looking for easy rice and grain recipes? Perhaps an easy Spanish rice recipe? Or a new way to make bulgur or couscous? Here's the place to find some quick and easy rice or grain inspiration. So many times when I'm trying to figure out what to make for dinner I wish I had a list of ideas to refer to -- so that's what I'm creating here, in the hopes that it will help you too.
• top cooked bulgur or brown rice with a slice or two of fried feta cheese
• cook a pot of quinoa; when it's almost done, sauté several diced veggies from the crisper drawer in a bit of olive oil: onions, bell peppers, carrots, etc. with a dash of onion salt and thyme - stir into quinoa and serve
Quickest Cooking Grains – 20 minutes or less
- Barley (quick variety)
- Oats – (quick oats)
- Brown Rice – converted
- Rice – white
Longer Cooking Grains – 25+ minutes
- Barley – whole or pearl
- Oats – whole
- Brown Rice
- Wild Rice
