Did you know that salt speeds up cooking time? Yes, greenbeans cook 10 percent faster if cooked in salted water. Not only does salt draw out moisture from veggies and meats, it helps to accentuate the best flavor in each food. This fast-sizzling greenbean side dish uses the salt in the Adobo (garlic salt works fine too) to speed up the sauté time.
This is one of my favorite ways to make greenbeans as a veggie side dish -- works great with either fresh or frozen beans.
