Monica for sending me a review copy last year -- it's been read cover-to-cover and used many times, especially when we're in the mood for food that's exotically satisfying. Wanted to share with you my recent guest blog post on Monica's blog, A Life of Spice, where I took some pics of the Onion Bread Stir-fry I made (thankfully I had <most> of the ingredients on hand that day!).
Even though the recipes are one of my favorite parts of this book (naturally), it's the essays that are interspersed throughout the book that make this book not only one to read before bed, but to stick in your bag and take along to the car dealership when you're waiting a couple hours for repair work, Yep, it was the magic that recently transported me to another world where the time flew by while Nissan did its thing. Of course, I found myself getting hungrier and hungrier as the clock creeped closer to lunch, so I had to rush home and make the Brown Rice Pulao with Vegetables and Cumin. Naturally.
